Membership and Benefits Information

The United States Bone and Joint Initiative, NFP (USBJI) is a not-for-profit corporation incorporated in the State of Illinois that relies on membership dues, as well as grants and contributions from industry, organizations and individuals to develop and coordinate programs and activities of the Initiative in the United States.

We welcome support through your membership of the United States Bone and Joint Initiative. There are three categories of dues-paying membership: Founding, Participating, and Associate.

Founding Members
Founding Members are charitable, research, and educational not-for-profit organizations that support the objectives and activities of the United States Bone and Joint Initiative and that formed the original Steering Committee that established the organization.
  • Founding Members have a representative on the Board of Directors
Participating Members
Participating Members are charitable, research, and educational not-for-profit organizations that support the objectives and activities of the United States Bone and Joint Initiative.
  • Participating Members are entitled to nominate candidates for the Board of Directors
Associate Members Associate Members are for-profit organizations that support the objectives and activities of the United States Bone and Joint Initiative and wish to be officially recognized as such.

Associate Member recognition levels:
Diamond - $25,000 and over, Emerald - $15,000 and over, Ruby - $10,000 and over, Sapphire - $5,000 and over, Topaz (small-sized companies) - $2,500 and over.


BENEFITS
All members receive:
  • Listing on USBJI web site under "Friends of the Initiative", with a link to member's website
  • Listing in Newsletter, Initiative reports
  • Links to member's web site under:
    • Patients section, Conditions and Resources
    • Calendar of Events
    • Research information, projects & activities
  • USBJI Newsletters
  • Up to five representatives (more on request)
  • Notices about USBJI activities, projects and events, news
  • Participation on committees/task forces
  • Right to use the U.S. Bone and Joint Initiative logo with "Member" designation
  • Listing on certain printed materials for healthcare professionals and patients
  • Member rates for conferences and meetings
Member dues pay for:
  • National Action Week
  • Presence, promotion and distribution of materials at professional and community meetings
  • Meetings of the network, task forces, and with government agencies
  • Production and distribution of materials to health fairs, hospitals/clinics, schools
  • Web site
  • Newsletter
  • Media relations
  • Primary development of awareness, education, research, and advocacy activities

Payments/Dues
You may pay your membership dues by check or by credit card payment. Please make your check payable to the: United States Bone and Joint Initiative, NFP. Dues will be billed annually to the principal representative from every organization or corporation.
