Osteoporosis

Stooped over? Not me!

As we get older we are more likely to become shorter as bones in our spine begin to crack and break, sometimes without hurting. You can end up looking like the older women in the picture below. But it doesn't have to be that way.
What you do early in life can help to determine whether or not you will stay tall and strong. Or whether you start to stoop over and develop broken bones.
PB&J teaches students about osteoporosis, the most prevalent of bone conditions, and what they can do to avoid it. Osteoporosis, it is presently estimated, will affect one in two women over 50, and one in four men.
PB&J shows the students that as teenagers, they choose the lifestyle habits that will help them remain tall and strong, rather than becoming one of these statistics.
